The stump can be pulled out of the ground completely, or it can be ground down until you can’t see it. Some residents can live with tree stumps because they believe they’re just unsightly, and stump removal is admittedly the job of an arborist. However, tree stumps are tripping hazards, and they can damage lawn equipment such as mowers or aerators. Rotten tree stumps also attract pests that can eventually move into human habitations.
